Test Results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you. If your test results are normal we will not routinely contact you.
If you would like to speak to us about your test results please contact us online using Patchs or phone us after 2pm.
Getting your test results
For a copy of the results you can visit us with your driving license/ passport and the staff will print them for you.
Results of Tests and Investigations
Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release, or if they are not capable of understanding them.
Laboratory Specimens
You may be asked by the doctor or nurse to provide a specimen for laboratory testing. Please ensure that you ask the receptionist for the correct container and make sure you put your name and date of birth on the container.
The completed specimen must be delivered to the surgery by 14:30 the same day the sample is taken to send to the laboratory.
Viewing your test results online
You will be able to view your test results through the NHS app. If we feel we need to discuss your results with you first, then we will contact you and explain the results to you before making them available on the NHS app.
