The reception staff are trained to help you access our services and to ensure that the practice runs smoothly. However, please remember that they are not doctors and nurses and, whilst they work hard to help you, they may not have instant answers or solutions to all your enquiries.
The District Nurses are no longer practice based. They can be contacted on tel: 01706 676363. Our District Nurse Team are based at Croft Shifa Health Centre and the number above is the contact number for the Mark Street Team. They visit patients requiring home nursing care both short and long term and can give details of dressing clinics available.
They meet regularly with the doctors and can pass on information.
The Health Visitors are no longer practice based and can be contacted on telephone: 01706 764314. The health visiting team work closely with the doctors in provision of management of child health services for our under fives. They are also concerned with health education and can offer advice on stress management and weight reduction. We also regularly involve specialist nurses such as Macmillan nurses for cancer or terminal care patients and community psychiatric nurses for patients with appropriate need.
