Our Doctors are available on the following days:

Dr Parton is available Every day of the week. He is also available for Taxi and HGV medicals.

Dr Titterton is available Monday to Wednesday.

Dr Reid who is available Tuesday to Friday

Dr Zaman who is available Wednesdays,Thursdays and Fridays. 

Dr Maung is available on Monday, Tuesday , Thursday and Friday. He is also available for  Taxi, HGV , Adoption and Fostering medicals. 

There are also appointments available with our Trainee GPs (fully qualified doctors in their later stages of training to becom GPs).

In addition appointments are available with our Advanced Practioner , Alison Williams on Mondays to Thursdays. 

Chronic disease (such as Asthma, Diabetes and COPD) appointments are available with our practice nurses Roisin and Kate. 

Blood tests and other procedures such as blood pressure monitoring are available through our health care assistant Liz. 

We recently acquired a First Contact Physiotherapist for muscular and joint issues and they are able to diagnose and initiate investigations and treatment. Appointments for this are available through reception : please ask for this as this may be more helpful than seeing a doctor for these issues. 

If you are having concerns about social problems and benefits issues then Kathryn Rennie, our social prescriber is available to help. Please ask reception about this. 

Finally we now have a new system called PATCHS which will allow you to make an online query with a doctor or administrative staff to help you with your problems : please see the home page for a link to ask questions online. 

Morning appointments are available from 08.00am and we have early morning appointments starting from 07.00am Monday to Thursday and 07.30am on  Friday. We will endeavour to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice. However, individual doctors' availability will vary according to the doctors' commitment to particular clinics, on-call sessions and holiday cover.

Patients ill enough to require being seen by a doctor urgently are always given access to a doctor the same day. Genuine emergencies are provided with immediate medical attention. Misuse of these services disrupts the work of the practice and is actively discouraged.

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

Surgeries are run early morning from 07:30 on Mondays and 07:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.  Our Practice Nurse Team are also available at these times.  Please contact Reception for details of availability.

Home visits are reserved for patients who are genuinely too ill to attend surgery. It is now well accepted that a consultation with a doctor at the surgery allows a more complete medical assessment.

If you need a home visit please contact the surgery before 10.00am if at all possible.

Our receptionist will ask for details of your medical condition in order to help the doctor to assess the need for a home visit. The doctor may also telephone you for further details.

In cases of serious illness, this information may be vital to assess the type and speed of medical aid.

Please do not request home visits via the website, contact the surgery by telephone.

If you require a GP appointment out of opening hours you can now use the 7 Day Access Service.

The Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) 7 day access service, along with BARDOC allows patients to have access to evening, weekend and Bank Holiday appointments.  This allows patients who struggle to attend their doctors during the week, because of work or family commitments, flexibility to use local health services. 

Patients will not get to see their own doctor during these hours, however the GP or Nurse that they see will have access to their medical record, subject to consent. 

Appointments are available:

• 08:00 – 18:00 Saturdays and Bank Holidays
• 10:00 – 13:00 Sundays

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

The practice gained the status of a teaching practice - responsible for training new general practitioners - in August 2004. There is a possibility that you may be offered an appointment with a trainee but you will be asked to consent to this first.

Trainee general practitioners in the UK are required to have spent a minimum of 2 and half years in accredited hospital training posts. This follows on from their 5 or 6 years training as medical students. On completion of their hospital posts they are required to finish their training in accredited training practices such as Mark Street Surgery.

During their attachment to the practice they are supervised and assessed. On successful completion of vigorous assessments (which includes written and oral exams, video analysis and other work based assessments) they are finally allowed to practice as independent GPs.
